Description

A scarce early Great Western Railway locomotive whistle. Taller and more elegant than later whistles with a deeper screw connector section. Fully stamped \GWR\ and retaining an original vintage patina. Recovered from Sonning Cutting half buried by the trackside perhaps lost from a long passed Broad Gauge Loco? Second whistle shown for size comparison only. H: 280mm tall D: 95mm
