GWR SKARRATT drop dial No.1104

An attractive Great Western Railway 12inch drop dial fusee clock retaining the original dial text, lettered SKARRATT, WORCHESTER, 1104. It is extremely scarce to find an early railway clock that has not had the dial face repainted with the new company identity when railway amalgamations took place. Good quality English chain driven fusee movement with shaped shoulders and turned pillars, runs well and keeps good time. The Oak case has a lovely patina and bears a GWR identity number tag witness mark to the lover left hand side. Pendulum, case pegs and original winding key present.
