LB&SCR 14inch clock Ex-Northfleet Station

London Brighton & South Coast Railway 14inch Oak cased drop dial chisel bottom chain driven fusee clock. The solid Oak case has one side door and bottom door with in service replacement ball bearing catch and is nicely stamped to the rear face 802B. The rectangular plated chain driven fusee movement is in good clean condition. The original dial repainted post 1948 is lettered ‘JOHN WALKER 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 802B.Please view images for condition details. Southern clock records show that the clock was supplied by Grimshaw Baxter & Elliot Ltd to the LB&SCR in 1891 at a cost of 4-5-0d and was last in railway service at Northfleet Station Platform.
