LNER drop dial Ex Gristhorpe Cabin

A London Northern Eastern Railway 12inch drop dial fusee clock in lovely original condition. LNER clock records indicate railway service at Grimthorpe Signal Box located between Filey and Seamer Stations.
Original dial has a attractive patina and nicely balanced 24hour red numerals, hand painted to the BR(NE) face when 24hour train timing was introduced – June 1965. Mahagany dovetail construction back box with single side access doors and locking bottom door. Solid mahogany turned dial surround with spun brass bezel. Good quality English fusee movement with turned pillars, recently cleaned, runs well and keeps good time. Pendulum, case pegs and bottom door key present.
