Description
A rare and attractive Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway 12inch roundhead fusee clock in lovely condition. Ex Oughty Bridge Station, opened 14.07.1845 and closed 15.06.1959, the station building is now a private residence. Supplied to the MS&L in the mid 19th Century by William McFerran of Manchester. The sensitively restored dial is accurately lettered W.McFerran, Victoria St, M.S.&.L 349 Manchester. The ebanised case is in good original condition with a single side door and bottom door with catch. Good quality A frame English fusee movement with turned pillars and chain drive, runs well and keeps good time. Original pendulum, case pegs and bottom door ring pull catch present.
