SER drop dial wall clock 919

South Eastern Railway fusee drop dial wall clock, originating from Tonbridge Permanent Way Inspectors office. The solid Oak back box with delicate hand cut dovetail construction and original French Polish finish. The side door SER plated, ‘919’, the bottom door retains the correct brass turn lock. The quality chain driven movement stamped ‘G&B’ and ‘SER’ within oval cartouches along with the clock number ‘919’. The pendulum is also stamped to the rod and bob and to complete the impressive collection of railway branding the original clock key is present, stamped with an ‘SER’ cartouche, an extremely scarce addition. Originating from the personal collection of railway clock expert Ian Lyman, this wonderful clock runs well and is one of the finest quality railway clocks we have seen.
