Description

A scarce and very desirable 1911 first example of the Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. Sculpted by the graduate of the Royal College of Art, Charles Sykes, who based the new RR mascot on the earlier creation for Baron Montagu of Beaulieu who wanted a mascot modelled on his secretary and lover Eleanor Thornton.
This original example, in solid nickel stands 6inches high and is extensively referenced with all the correct names, dates and registration marks. Please see images for condition details.
